Hollywood heavyweight Sylvester Stallone is now part of the cast of this suicide squad, director James Gunn has confirmed. The project will be known as the re-launch of the 2016 Suicide Squad, which followed the adventures of the DC Super Villain team, including Harley Quinn and Rick Flag. The original film was directed by David Yer.
The gun, known to the Guardians of Galaxy Films under the Marvel Cinematic Universe, went on Instagram to expose Stallone’s casting. “I have always loved working with my friend Stallone and our work on the suicide squad today was no exception.”
According to the deadline, there is some speculation that Stallone will be the voice of the King Shark. Stallone also confirmed his involvement by posting a video on Instagram that they accept that they are going to film a scene.
The film stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis Squad as Master Mind Amanda Valer, Jay Kurt as Captain Boomerang and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag.
He will be joined by newcomers Idris Alba, John Cena, Nathan Fillian, Peter Capaldi, David Dastmalian, Tika Vetti and Pete Davidson. Suicide Squad also shows the gun’s association with Michael Rooker and his brother Sean Gunn. Suicide Squad is set to release in theaters on August 6, 2021.
