Actor Joel Kinnama has hinted that director James Gunn has taken a more ridiculous approach to this Suicide Squad sequel. The actor will reprise his role as Rick Flagg in the upcoming superhero sequel and has suggested that Gunn would take a lighter approach to the DC Extended Universe film, Streefirst.com reports.
Kinnan said, “It really felt like my first real come Maddy. James has such confidence in style, I was laughing at every page when I read the script,” Kinnan said.
“His stupidity and the confidence to tell his story to go from something childish to something emotional and real and the pendulum changes really quickly. Some of the characters are just insane. It’s an R rated film that’s really childish.”
Kinnaman joins Margot Robbie, Idris Alba and Peter Capaldi among other cast members of the film.
