Actor Robert Pattinson says his new film, Tenet, is incredibly complex as well as ambitious, and says the much-awaited Christopher Nolan director shows the true possibilities of cinema. “It’s surprisingly ambitious and surprisingly complex. I mean, no movie like Chris makes in the first place, and this is the type of Chris Nolan on steroids with all the new technology inside the IMX camera, designed specifically for this movie. The unseen can’t really be imagined, ”Pattinson said.
Tenet was originally scheduled to be released in July, but was postponed several times during the year due to the ongoing epidemic. Through delays and pressure, Nolan was always sure to release the film on the big screen. Pattinson, too, insists that Tenet must be seen on the big screen.
“With people who haven’t had the ability to go to theaters for months, it would be a really great thing to look forward to this. I think it really shows what is possible in the cinema. I mean Chris really, really wants to.” Almost zero visuals. Push the limits of what you can do on a film with effects. It’s a very immersive experience and it’s really nothing more than watching on the biggest screen, “he added.
Called “an action epic developed from the world of international espionage”, Nolan’s new film is one of two thrilling time-curving missions with secret agents, edited by Pattinson and John David and Washington Washington.
The Warner Bros. Pictures project also features Bollywood’s Dimple Kapadia along with Elizabeth Debicky, Kenneth Brenagh, Michael Kane, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Clemens Posy. The film has been shot in seven countries – India, USA, UK, Denmark, Estonia, Italy and Norway.
Talking about the cast, Pattinson said: “He’s just an incredible artist, and with such a complex script it’s beautiful to know he’s on every page. I’ve never met John David (Washington Washington) before and I’m lucky “Very nicely with him, considering that most of my scenes were with him and we’ve been working on this together for many months, although this is one of the best friendships I’ve ever had while making a film.”
The film is set to release in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on December 4.
