P te actor Hyung Keys-Byrne, who played the villain Emorton in George Miller’s cult hit “Mad Max: Fury Road”, has died. He was 73 73 years old. A representative of the actor told Deadline that the actor died peacefully on Tuesday morning.
Filmmaker Brian Trencard-Smith, who worked with Keys-Byrne for the 1975 film “The Man from Hong Kong,” was the first to break the news of the actor’s death in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“Hugh had a generous heart, offering a home or a homeless teenager to help those in need. He took care of social justice and the preservation of the environment before these issues became fashionable.
“His life was governed by his understanding of the unity of humanity. We will lose his example and his friendship. Well, Hugh,” Trenchard Smith wrote.
Born in 1947 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir to British parents, the actor was very young when his family migrated to Britain.
Keys-Bayern later moved to Australia, Australia, where he appeared in several Royal Shakespeare Company productions, including “As You Like It”, “The Balcony”, “Hamlet”, “King Learn”, “The Man Mode F Mode” and Not “.
He began his acting career when he was cast in the TV series “Belbird” produced by Barbara Vernon.
Actor Trencard-Smith’s 1975 action flick “The Dragon Flies” appeared in a number of series and films, including Mori Gross.
Keys-Byrne’s big moment came when he came to play Toctor in Miller’s 1979 film “Mad Max,” starring Mel Gibson.
More than thirty years later, Miller urges Keys-Byrne to return to the world of “Mad Max” with 2015’s “Fury Road,” starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.
In the movie, Keys-Byrne played the role of the villain Immorton, the head of the cult that ruled Westland. Throughout the film, Jand and his biker gang terrorize Theron’s Furiosa and Hardy’s Max Rokatansky for trying to liberate the world.
Taking to Twitter, Thero posted a heartfelt tribute to the actor, calling him a “kind, beautiful soul.”
