P te actor Anupam Kher on Sunday expressed grief over the demise of “one of his favorite” actor Soumitra Chatterjee.
The ‘Hotel Mumbai’ star took to Twitter and shared some pictures of the late Dada Saheb Phalke Award winning actor as a tribute to him, saying that he had learned a lot from his surprisingly rich talent and art.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the demise of veteran actor and my beloved #Soumitra Chatterjee,” Kher wrote.
“I learned a lot from his surprisingly rich talent and art. Om Shanti !!” He added.
In the early days, many people including Bollywood actors including Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Raj Babbar, Randeep Hooda mourned Chatterjee’s demise.
Chatterjee gained popularity for collaborating with arc-winning veteran filmmaker Satyajit Ray and the Feluda series. He immortalized the character nicknamed Feluda in Renny’s films.
Chatterjee, 85, died Sunday afternoon. He was admitted to Belle Vs Hospital in Kolkata and was admitted to the ICU after testing positive for COVID-19. It was later tested negative.
Iconic Bengali actor and Dada Saheb Phalke was known for collaborating with award winning Chatterjee Scar winning film director Satyajit Ray.
