John Abraham-Sonakshi Sinha’s Force 2 completes 4 years: Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah shares sweet memories

It’s been four years since the release of the action-thriller, Force 2, and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah will look back, he just has beautiful memories associated with the film. Featuring John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha, and Tahir Bhasin, the movie is well remembered for its other compelling stories, silly acting, exotic locations in Budapest, and captivating action.

As Vipul Shah started talking about the movie he went back to the memory lane. “Force 2 was to be shot in Budapest and it turned out to be an expensive proposal. We wanted to mount it in the film, we didn’t have the budget. So, the acting god (director), John, and I decided for ourselves to drop our fees. Let it be and put it in the film the way it was supposed to be.

“Exactly when we were going to release the film after the promotional campaign, there was demonetisation and as a result, we lost a lot of our business. Numbers, me, John and I could have acted – we would all have gotten our fees. But unfortunately, the loss caused by the philanthropy did not allow us to make money. “Nevertheless, we are all still very proud of the film. At least the film still makes money for the studio, ”Vipul adds.

Referring to another incident that took place during the shooting of the film, Vipul said, “John was badly injured during a scene. He was about to break down a door and he did but he fell and injured his knee very badly. At first he was taken to the hospital and the doctor suggested not to shoot him, but he came back and completed the order he was supposed to perform and really healed the injury so badly that John had to undergo surgery – one in Budapest and one in Mumbai. It took him about two months to recover. “

“When we went to Budapest to start shooting in Bud Gust it was very hot because that year there was a heatwave in Budapest and the temperature was crossing 40 degrees. By the time we finished shooting the temperature had dropped to zero and minus and it started to snow. So, we had to shoot this film in two extreme weather conditions and it was very difficult for the whole unit. But shooting a film with an international crew is a lot of fun and maybe 2, the way we did the mass shooting in Budapest. Is the first film to be shot in this way. “With the help of the Hungarian government. It was a wonderful experience, ”said Vipul Shah.
