James Bond actor Daniel Craig paid tribute to the original 007, Sir Sean Connery, after his death in a statement on Saturday (local time).
The latest James Bond flick ‘No Time to Die’ actor’s statement was posted on 007’s official facial Instagram account.
“Statement from Daniel Craig:” It’s so sad that I heard one of the true greats of cinema pass by. Sir Sean Kerner Nari will be remembered as Bond and so much more, “the statement read.
The 52-year-old actor went on to praise Sir Sean Connery’s work and said that his intelligence and charm can only be measured in “mega watts”.
“He defined an era and a genre. The wit and charm he portrayed on screen can be measured in mega watts; he helped create a modern blockbuster,” the statement said.
“It will have an impact on actors and filmmakers alike for years to come. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. Wherever he is, I hope there is a golf course,” the statement added.
Actor Sean Connery, best known for his portrayal of James Bond, has died at the age of 90 on Saturday.
The Scottish-born actor has been an audience favorite for over 40 years and was one of the screen’s most trusted and distinguished leading men.
