Numerous of his fans witnessed the love story that peaked on the set of Ram-Leela (2013) and became stronger over the years. It was only then that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone shared the joy of their big day with their well wishers. Sticking to their promise and reporting in mid-day, the newlyweds shared official photos of their wedding, much to the surprise of their fans.

The Bollywood power couple made their relationship proud at the Villa del Balbinello in a Sindhi style wedding. No matter the Italian venue, the wedding of the year was a desi affair – a priest was specially brought down from Amritsar for the Infinite Debt Ceremony. A source said, “A temporary gurdwara was erected inside the premises. A priest was taken down from Amritsar for the ceremony which started earlier in the morning and walked till noon.”

About 10 large boats were deployed to bring guests from the Casta Diva Resort and Spa to the wedding venue. The villa itself was decorated with about 10,000 red flowers, mainly roses, keeping in mind the red theme of the function. If Konkani marriage was a peaceful affair, then North Indian style marriage was about band, baja, barat.

Arriving at the venue dancing in the successful films of the ‘0s, the famous glimpse of the groom came to the fore once again. “In his trademark style, Ranveer led the procession while he danced to songs including Tamma Tamma, My Name Is Lakhan and Chunari Chunari. He also produced his chartbusters including Tune Mari Antrian, Tattad Tattad and Galla Gudiyan.”

When the couple chose their favorite cottage – Sabyasachi Mukherjee – for their D-Day, the highlight of Padukone’s wedding was the curtain. Keeping in view the Sindhi customs, the veil was gifted by Singh’s family. The ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhav’ was inscribed in gold on this intricately made bracelet. The wedding was followed by an elaborate lunch which included Sindhi dishes like dal dish, koki and seva barfi.
